For those of you who do stop here to read what is going on in my life, my ideas, what I'm thinking, what I'm learning and what horses I'm working with, I'm sorry for the silence. I haven't felt like writing. I facebook and blog-stalk you and others. I enjoy reading your ideas and stories, my friends. I'm always bummed when this part of a friend's life is quiet - and so I write now!
The last couple of months have been little hills in a valley for me. Life is still good. God is still in charge. I can not and will not complain. For every challenge, there has been a blessing!
While I miss Kentucky, my independence and all that was a part of my life there, as my cousin David told me once, "You're on an adventure, just not a fun one." Like he reminded me, life is always an adventure. You keep going. Even though I miss friends and seem to have little time to stay connected, many of them keep reaching out to me. They don't let me disappear!
The other day I went swinging. I love my secret swinging spot. It's quiet and the swings don't squeak. I swing facing the stand of tall evergreens hiding all civilization. With just the bright blue sky behind those gently swaying friends, I pumped and pulled, dipping my center of gravity hard so I soared. My arms and hands ached. My hair streamed around my face. Sometimes it takes engaging my body in an exerting, but mindless, exercise or routine for my brain to think. I came away with soar fingers where my hands gripped the cool mental links, but with a sense of eager anticipation too.
"Here we come rejoicing. Here we come laughing. Here we come praising the Lord. Here we come rejoicing, dancing into Zion, here we come praising the Lord."This little song played through my head, over and over again. No selfishness, no misunderstandings, no hypocrisy, no delusions, no division or dissension, no codependency, no criticizing or critiquing, no guilt, no pressures, no stress or unfair expectations... only oneness with others in praising the Lord. For the time I swung, it felt good to picture such perfection. While we praise the Lord here in part, someday we will praise him wholly and perfectly.
Life doesn't have to be perfect to praise the Lord!
